Our Craft

Supreme Meat, Blissful Moments.

Our Statement

Savored in the heart of Umeda
Fine yakiniku at Yakiniku no Gyuta Honjin

We want you to enjoy truly delicious meat at its very freshest.
What Yakiniku Honjin LINKS UMEDA values above all
is putting that wish into every single plate.

Reliable quality that only a wholesale butcher can judge,
knife work that brings out the character of each cut,
and careful preparation right up to the moment it reaches your table.
From sourcing to preparation to serving, honest handwork goes into every step.

Great yakiniku is not made by good ingredients alone.
By understanding the distinct appeal of each cut and slicing only after your order,
we draw out the full flavor, aroma and melt-in-the-mouth texture of wagyu.

Beyond our direct connection to Umeda Station, we offer seats with a night view, fully private rooms,
and spaces that suit everything from family gatherings to business dinners.
This, too, is one of the things we care about.

So that each plate becomes a special yakiniku moment for you,
we face our meat with sincerity, every single day.

Yakiniku Philosophy

Close to everyone who gathers in Umeda,
a yakiniku restaurant you will want to return to again and again.

What Yakiniku no Gyuta Honjin values most is
Taste, price, space and convenience, all in a comfortable balance.

Even with the remarkable value only a wholesaler can offer,
we never compromise on the quality of our yakiniku.

“Cut by our craftsman at peak freshness, only after you order.”
We continue to honor that promise with sincerity.

Right inside LINKS UMEDA, directly connected to Umeda Station,
the night view spreading beyond the windows, fully private rooms where you can talk freely,
and tatami rooms that are safe for children: a place where everyone who gathers can smile.

We turn everyday yakiniku into a moment worth remembering.

The craftsman's skill captures freshness at the moment of cutting

Sourced as only a wholesaler-run restaurant can,
Japanese Black Wagyu of assured quality.
To serve this fine ingredient at its most delicious.

At Honjin, to bring out the meat’s freshness to the fullest,
we never slice in advance;
our craftsman slices each order on the spot.

Knife work attuned to the delicate texture of each cut
draws out the Wagyu’s rich umami and melt-in-the-mouth tenderness to the fullest,
making a special yakiniku even richer.

Supreme Wagyu selection, possible only because we are run by a wholesaler

Great yakiniku begins with a discerning eye and careful sourcing. Drawing on our strength as a wholesaler-run restaurant, Honjin selects only Japanese Black Wagyu from across Japan whose meat and fat are in perfect balance. Delivering the true umami and depth of premium Wagyu at overwhelming value — that is the starting point of Honjin's yakiniku.

Dipping grilled Japanese Black Wagyu into house-made sauce

House-made sauces that elevate the meat, and the craftsman's hand-massaging technique

To bring the flavor of carefully selected Japanese Black wagyu into full bloom, we pour our care into every last drop of sauce. Our house-made dipping sauce is a rich soy-based blend with apple and other fruit that brings out the meat's flavor. Our marinades showcase the craftsman's skill: a dedicated harami sauce, miso sauce for offal, salt sauce and more, each blended for its cut and hand-massaged into the meat to order. Seasoned to perfection, Honjin's yakiniku is at its most tender and juicy the moment it comes off the grill. Enjoy the exquisite harmony of sauce and meat.

Kobe beef sirloin steak and the Treasure Box of Select Wagyu

The craftsman's skill that preserves freshness — the true value of cutting to order

Because we want you to enjoy delicious meat at its freshest, Honjin never slices in advance. After you order, our craftsman reads the grain and texture of each cut and slices it carefully on the spot, piece by piece, bringing the finest melt and rich aroma of the freshly cut meat straight to your table.
